Re: Wellness Ready Laminitis test kit???
For such a "convenience" it sure does up the cost to the consumer by having to be administered by a vet still. Once a month vet calls? No thanks, there's no way I could afford that. I'd like to

Re: Questions regarding adding salt to the IR diet (emergency or otherwise)
Hi Linda
The best bang for your buck and ease of use is iodized table salt. Depending on how much you feed and the size of the horse, you will need extra iodine. For example a 1100 pound horse on 2

Re: Wellness Ready Laminitis test kit???
We've been hoping for something like this for years. An at-home insulin test. However this apparently requires a vet to administer.

Re: Questions regarding adding salt to the IR diet (emergency or otherwise)
Hi Linda,
Sea salt can contain iron and other minerals in unknown quantities which is why it's not usually recommended for IR horses.
Thanks,

My very first thought is that this is another nice slick sponsor provided info sheet and it's very similar to their last Laminitis Extra other than the different

Re: Recent bloodwork concerns
Hi Jennifer,
I looked back and saw that we didn't answer your questions on iron. It might be fairly quick and affordable to test your filtered well water that you soak hay in and the horses drink

Re: Questions regarding adding salt to the IR diet (emergency or otherwise)
Here is the link, Sue. In the Files section there is a folder named 'Core Diet', and the 'salt and iodine' information is in there. If you type 'salt' in the Search box at the top of the Files
