Re: Test again or increase Pergolide?
Hi Billie,
If you test again in September you'll be right at the height of the seasonal rise. If the pony is well above what's expected at that time of year in our experience trying to increase

Thanks for your suggestions, Kirsten.
Can I feed beet pulp pellets? I thought that they always needed to be soaked? I could carry a fanny pack of R/S/R beet pulp....but that would probably be pretty

Hi J. Kean
The welcome message that Sherry mentioned is below. We don't usually recommend high-fat feeds for Cushings horses, as high fat intake can worsen or indeed induce insulin resistance.

Thank you for your response, Sherry. So, why would grass cause laminitis, in light of those test results? Strictly by the numbers, Peaches should be on grass 24/7 instead of soaked hay.

It sounds like you think that being in a dry lot caused Peaches to develop IR, is that a wrong assumption on my part? If she's currently in a regular exercise program and still too fat I

No grass - But why?
I hear the "no grass" rule, but I need more convincing. Please consider my pasture analysis, summarized below (posted at Pasture-Results)
Peaches' insulin and glucose were normal with 6 hours/day
