Re: Chronic Lyme Diagnosis
Interesting, Kinsey! We don’t see insulin resistance in QH’s as frequently as in some other breeds so your hypothesis might be right on target. I live in Lyme Central and have always used doxy

Michele, I meant to add that I am confused about why Odyssey is on Thyro-L if your concerned about weight loss? It is often prescribed for weight loss but hypothyroidism is extremely rare in equines

Re: Elevate Vitamin E Concentrate Powder
I use the gel caps too - no worries about added sugar. If you want to pass on the concentrate, you may seek out someone who is treating their horse for EPM. I understand EPM horses need high amounts

Hi Michele,
I'm not sure how much dextrose would be in a serving so you may want to ask the company about that. Also, I believe you said you have some non-IR horses so you may want to use this for

Hi Debbie,
Even without the nutritional guarantee, I can tell you a few differences. It contains alfalfa which we don’t recommend for IR horses as some get footsore on it. If you know your horse

Re: Is it safe for Khan try prascend/pergolide (Dr. Kellon please weigh-in thank you)
Jessica, I’d like to add that I’ve had good luck giving APF at the maximum dose twice daily when my horse experienced the veil after eating my other horse’s pergolide.

Re: Elevate Vitamin E Concentrate Powder
Thanks, Michelle.
That is the product I was looking at but not the same page. I don’t know how sensitive your horses are but it’d be similar to feeding a sugar cube, which we advise against.
