If she is comfortable without boots, she can go bootless. If she isn't, then use boots.
She definitely shouldn't have wedge pads as those would make bony column rotation worse. The Cloud pads

I bought wool rug backing from Amazon and put powder (either gold bond or coat defense) and never had that much smell. It is important however to give the boots a good scrubbing out and washing,

Thank you, we are in the midst of a drought so there is very little moisture in his dry lot. But we have not been changing his boots everyday and will start with that when his next pair arrives. It

Good job on the firing Lesley and yes, even 20 is 5 minutes a hoof and not quite enough time IMO but maybe he's practicing for a speed competition, like sheep shearing only with trimming horses?
