You could, but the powdered E isn't as well absorbed. If you use the human soft gel caps of E in oil (not glycerin) you can just toss those in the baggie.

I'd settle for 100 but even that would be difficult to gauge with an oval. Do you have a compounding pharmacy in your area? If you do, you could ask them if they will compound it for you so that you

I will increase his prascend from 4 tablets to 5 this evening. The invokana tablet is 300mg oval. Where would I cut it to get the correct 110mg dosage? His appetite seems better.

Any other grass hay. The Orchard would be fine but you'll need to test it.

Re: Sunday labs & case history updated - CBD info
I would definitely increase the pergolide now. That could also help with the melanomas since melanocyte stimulating hormone is also increased in PPID.

Re: Dr Kellon. Bloodwork back after starting invokana and it’s not good
How is he doing? You need to increase his pergolide. If he weighs 400 lbs, the 75 mg is a little low. Should be 110 mg. It's up to you and your vet whether to go back on metformin.

Re: Maintaining grass free dry lot
Hi Kristie,
We use the vinegar/water/soap spray and/or put down cardboard over the problem areas.
Rocks or weights of some kind help keep the cardboard in place until the next rain.

Hello friends -
I have updated Sunday's case history & labs. Like many here, he has more than one challenge (PPID, IR, melanomas, arthritis). After one year on Prascend his labs looked good last April

Re: Maintaining grass free dry lot
Kristie, there are lots of ideas over on the Horsekeeping group. You could search using terms such as “grass free”, “kill grass”, “weed control” etc.

Unfortunately I can’t feed any hay and they are on a TC Timothy Balance Cubes only diet. I’ve bought them some cube balls to roll around in addition to their soaked cubes. Manure is picked

Make sure to put mats under where you feed hay. And clean manure up regularly.

Fescue isn't a good choice either because the endophyte that can infect it causes hoof problems.

Thank you, Dr. Kellon,
I’m now aware of this. I’m trying to see if fescue or orchard grass can be given to him.
