Re: Mouse's Numbers and many questions
Thank you Dr. Kellon for your response. Just to clarify, I understand that NSAIDS have no effect on insulin, Mouse was on Equioxx, then Bute as he had DPs primarily in his RF and was lame on that

Re: Treats, alfalfa pellets for training treats
Hi Dorothy,
If you're looking for a safe easy treat, non-molassed beet pulp pellets are fine. Just keep in mind that they add calories so you should reduce her hay accordingly as she is overweight.

Re: Newly diagnosed, questions
Dr Kellon,
Since Allie's TRH Stem test was normal on the post draw, does that mean she is not eligible for your study?
Thank you,

Re: Newly diagnosed, questions
Hi Bonnie,
If you started Allie on pergolide you can retest in 3 weeks. I would not wait to test for the tick borne diseases.
Thanks,

Re: Sunday labs & case history updated - CBD info
There is not much time for titrating so I would go a full tab, then if he's really low early next year you can back it up a bit.

I don't know if it's even permitted for you to supply the tablets but if it is they would crush them and mix with a carrier then give you instructions on how much of the mixture to use. Otherwise, do

You could, but the powdered E isn't as well absorbed. If you use the human soft gel caps of E in oil (not glycerin) you can just toss those in the baggie.

I'd settle for 100 but even that would be difficult to gauge with an oval. Do you have a compounding pharmacy in your area? If you do, you could ask them if they will compound it for you so that you

I will increase his prascend from 4 tablets to 5 this evening. The invokana tablet is 300mg oval. Where would I cut it to get the correct 110mg dosage? His appetite seems better.

Any other grass hay. The Orchard would be fine but you'll need to test it.

Re: Sunday labs & case history updated - CBD info
I would definitely increase the pergolide now. That could also help with the melanomas since melanocyte stimulating hormone is also increased in PPID.

Re: Dr Kellon. Bloodwork back after starting invokana and it’s not good
How is he doing? You need to increase his pergolide. If he weighs 400 lbs, the 75 mg is a little low. Should be 110 mg. It's up to you and your vet whether to go back on metformin.
