Re: BOT flies - deworm again?
BTW, having EMS does not mean you should deworm less often. The drugs themselves are not going to cause laminitis. It's a systemic reaction to a large worm kill that might cause issues with the feet.

If you are constantly finding large amounts of bot eggs on him, deworm with ivermectin in mid summer in addition to the fall deworming. Double dose strongid is fine for tapes as long as you do it

Hi, Laura.
Ivermectin is effective against bots. https://aaep.org/sites/default/files/2021-03/Internal_Parasite_Guidelines.pdf

Re: Update on Isaac
Hi Sherry,
Dr. Kellon suggested increasing Jiaogulan as the APF has ginseng ingredients. So that is where we are.
Increasing and feeding it 20 mins before feeding time. That is a struggle in itself.

Re: Help for Mare following extreme over-trimming to sole
HI Makendra
What a horrid thing for a "trimmer" to do! I would definitely post something on FB to warn others.
One time when my mare got cut too short, we bypassed the boots and got some thick foam

Thanks Cass! I do have a special spot in my heart for Isaac. Gosh, I appreciate your reply. I wish I could share a video of Isaac to show how he behaves/walks/runs/causes trouble and just plain acts

Re: Heaves, Heat & Testing
Hi Jennifer,
Off the top of my head we used Nux Vomica, Carbo Veg and Boiron but I can't remember at this point if we did all 3 at once or did the Boiron separately and then added the others in.

I need to upload bloods taken in March 2022 which include ACTH and TRH Stim and your thoughts would be much appreciated. Emme doesn’t
