Hi Laura
Though they have backed off in recent years, the manufacturer of Prascend has pushed the compound viability issue for a long time. Several years ago, the ECIR Group Inc. funded a small group

Hi Karen,
In order for Lavinia to do markups she will need current hoof pictures taken following the directions in the Wiki: https://ecir.groups.io/g/main/wiki/1482#Photos-and-Hoof-Evaluation-Help.

1) How does one determine a correct dose for Jiaogulan?
2) It was stated that the most stable

Sadly, Chewy can't/won't ship to Alabama.

Re: Is it too late in the season for TRH-response test?
We have this detailed study as a guide to seasonal changes in that test https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1939-1676.2011.0712.x . Unfortunately they only used nine horses but it's a start.

Hi Jen,
From January to June TRH stim testing is ok but now that we're past the solstice the general advice is:
TRH stimulation testing can only be used to identify negative cases in these months

Shelly,
I'm sure you have seen how little an effect the bute has on his pain. However, when used long term like this you have to wean off slowly because if you don't there will be a rebound effect,

Re: Severe lameness in IR horse under vet/trimmer care
An abscess can brew for months, especially with NSAIDs on board. They do little for the pain but slow down resolution. This mare needs to be tested for PPID. She didn't suddenly become IR 18 months
