Thank you so much Kirsten!
I appreciate the recommended feeding info. I am able to source it from my local feed store. They have it on order and it will be here Monday. Any advise for transitioning

Re: Solar Penetration
Hi Nicolle, thanks for the added details.
It could be an abscess, too, but if there's a chance of penetration, don't soak the hoof. Let her lie down as much as she likes in a comfortable safe place

Re: Help with High Iron Hay Analysis
That iron isn't horrible in the scheme of things. Has to get up to 500ppm to be toxic... my hay two years ago had 707ppm (!! - was full of dirt and root clods, ick) I sent off samples for just iron -

Re: trh stim time
Yes, 10 minutes exactly is when the sample should be drawn because there is enough variation between 9 and 11 minutes for the result to be misinterpreted.

I read this article. And still don’t know the Takeaway? Is 10 minutes exactly 10 minutes the gold standard?

Theoretically, gabapentin should help with neuropathiic pain but there are no studies and no case reports in horses that it does.

Re: Olaf Check-In
Thank you. My expectation with Olaf has been to slow the progression and make him more comfortable using Diagnose, Diet and Trim.
I ordered the acety-l-carnitine. I also ordered capsicum cream.

Hi Joy.
I think you have your answer: more water.
Wanted to also add that the number of 30% reduction of sugar often mentioned is really an average. Mine was significantly higher at 50% reduction.
