Re: Rechecking bloodwork
We have never seen a problem with low glucose in horses on Invokana, although many were high before they started it. It would have been interesting to know if that was the case before he started it

Nicolle,
If she stands at this point it will only cause further damage to her feet. With people to help you can roll her up onto her sternum and prop her there with hay or straw bales. Another option

Oh, poor horse. So sorry to hear your travails. Maybe covering her with wet blankets/towels would help hydrate and cool her during our upcoming heat wave.

Hi Lynn,
Does he sweat at all when not working, now that we're into the summer and the heat has been taxing just standing around? If so, then he needs to have his daily salt intake increased to 2oz (4

Hi Nicolle,
I’m sure Dr. Kellon will reply when she can but I would start with whichever you get sooner, most likely Tramadol from the vet. In my dog, I have not always found Tramadol effective but

Thanks, Rene, I've downloaded your photos for Lavinia. Much better without the sunlight behind them.
I noticed your camera is focusing on the background, not the hoof, in most of your pictures. This

LOL on the extra salt. If Relevante is like my kids he'd much prefer not so much salt. When I dose mine for rides I mix it with kaolin so it's not so nasty but none of us is a fan.
Would love it if
