Re: Metformin Rx - Source in US?
It is true that it is available many places. However, the first RX my vet called in for me at a large chain pharmacy an hour north of me cost $120 and I now get it at Costco anywhere from $22 to $27

Thanks Kirsten! I'm glad, and likewise I know your advice is not meant in a bossy way. Even if some of it may not be doable now, it provides good ideas that I can put in the toolbox for later.

I ordered Laminox from Uckele and it was brownish color and smelled like tea. I opted for Laminox so maybe that’s why it’s brown in color.

Re: Metformin Rx - Source in US?
Metformin is a human drug. There is no approved veterinary form. All you need is a prescription and you can get it from any pharmacy.

I get mine at a Costco Pharmacy and it is cheapest I've found, but I think Lavinia had an online pharmacy that had a really good price. I can't seem to find it though...

I think you can get it with a prescription, from your local drug store pharmacy, Jen.

Hi, Rene.
For some of us, it helps to see an example. Take a look at the link below my signature for Cayuse and Diamond Case History Folder. Click away to see how file hierarchy.

Re: Solar Penetration
I was giving her that much BP as that was all she would eat. Now she may eat 2/3 of that portion. The Doxy will bind with the Ca and Iron so that was why I needed to not put the Doxy in the BP. Now

Re: CHEWY reply to my complaint about STABUL1 Fenugreek
I agree that it is a good discount. I've had to order from Tractor Supply because Fenugreek is out of stock and that is the only flavor Micah will eat. It is much less from Chewy. Fingers crossed it

Metformin Rx - Source in US?
Vet has agreed to give us Rx to try while we work to move horses to dry lot; her pharmacy (supported by MyVetStore) doesn't carry it unfortunately.
Where do you all in the US purchase your metformin?
