Re: Hind end stiffness, forehand soreness
Soaking all the hay in 1 go does make things so much easier. In Calgary, being so hot and dry, I don't think you even need a cooler, just a place it can sit and continue to drain. This is what I use

Hi Mandy,
There are some message threads in our Horsekeeping sub-group on chopping hay. Here is one particularly helpful one.

She does not seem to like the prone position. Would the front boots be uncomfortable? In seven years I have never seen her lay down either way.

Have you contacted any local rescues to see if they have a sling? Do you have a supply of hay bales you can use to help prop her up in a prone position? Hay nets are not going to provide

Nicolle, I looked at the photo you posted. I’m wondering if you could use intact hay bales to support her in a prone position? I don’t think the netted hay is enough to give her support.

Her feet seem to have 'settled' down' but it is her behaviour that makes me feel we are at the end of the fight. I continued on with the Dox yesterday. I posted a photo of her laying down

Does the Cornell multiplex test pick up anaplasmosis, Dr. Kellon? It wasn’t clear to me from what I read. With our pony, they diagnosed it from looking at a blood smear under the scope.

Honestly, Nicolle, without a diagnosis it is very difficult to say. Her white cell picture is consistent with either infection or extreme stress - or both. If I was treating her I would probably

Perfect thanks Lavinia! I just ordered. Super easy to have them contact my vet to verify the Rx too. Really appreciate it!

Re: Need Help Organizing Case History folders
Good job! I moved both hay analyses into the folder. In the future, just add new analyses into the same new folder and leave the older analyses as well. They are useful regional references.
