If this were my horse as she's not IR nor PPID I would be letting her eat as much hay daily as she wants. Based on what you have listed as her ideal weight she should be eating 22lbs per day of hay

Yes, her temperature was elevated for a few days. It was 101 this morning so hopefully will maintain that. I am not sure why it went up that high. She is on Doxy but has a pretty

Hi Nancy,
I believe the IR/PPID results indicated negative for both although I was already feeding her soaked hay at the time of testing and she had eaten up until 2 1/2 hours prior to the test.

You're right: whole carrots are a NO. Baby food carrots or homemade carrot puree (like carrot juice) were suggested to help the many members like me who have a horse that strenuously
