Nicolle , a bit of good news!
I have had a brief conversation with Dr. Kellon, and she feels the material at the CB could well be an abscess exiting and not a slough !!
Still hurts a lot for Elsa, but

Just an FYI -- I saw the post about Precision Pharmacy so I called them yesterday to see if they would compound liquid Pergolide for me and to check to see if it might be less pricey than Avrio. I

The reason I got concerned was because Kirsten wrote this - " The shoes cause most of the horse's weight to be supported from the hoof wall" and it made me think I might

LJ,
You're actually both right. Requesting 24 hours to get to a prescription refill with the current shortage of large animal veterinarians, not to mention busiest season, is not unreasonable.

Re: Lavinia - Request for mark-ups
That's great to hear! I can see the improvement, and it makes sense to spread the changes out a bit because a big change in hoof mechanics can definitely make them sore. Just don't get into the trap

With these and the radiographs, it's safe to say this isn't endocrinopathic laminitis, at least not EMS related. The best thing for her soles is described here https://hoofrehab.com/DistalDescent.htm

Hey Jodi,
Possibly not helpful, but contact the manufacturer and ask them for MSDS sheets and about expiration dates/storage conditions. They should be able to offer you some guidance on it.

Why are you responding to Vets being busy? You should be responding to her statement that this medication is fraudulent and dangerous to horses.
