Hi Carolyn,
When I have issues with thrush, I use Tomorrow, a bovine mastitis treatment. It seems to do what I need it to and it’s what the farriers here are recommending. Most farm supply stores

I have to strongly disagree that, short of actually going into live tissue and getting fresh blood, you can cause damage by backing up the toe. As Nancy said, any discomfort comes from pushing weight

No surprise his insulin would be up under those conditions. I'm glad he's handling it better. Are you doing Jiaogulan twice a day and checking gum/tongue color? You can also get L-arginine powder (5

P.S. Regular feeding of warm mashes with wheat brand beet pulp are also helpful. If the barn doesn't have hot water, bring it from home in large insulated jugs.

I'd love to hear your results with this product too, Carolyn, if you try it. Very interesting ingredients. Not so much the actives as the inactives.

thank you. I think I added them now. And yes, my vet had said that the toes were still too long at this point. She said he measured over 11mm on soles and that was great (?)

Re: New Member with questions
Carolyn, Cass has given you excellent advice. Some additional suggestions that work very well for me as Juniper struggles with thrush due to less than ideal hoof form. Both products are easy to find.

Re: Stabul 1 vs. Triple crown Low Starch/ and Balancer
Tina if you want to confirm one way or the other you could always send in a sample yourself to compare to their “guaranteed” analysis. I think you’ll be surprised how different it will come out.

Falki - New Blood Work - Insulin Only
Hi All,
I decided to test Falki's insulin because after an extended cold period for over a week with daytime highs not getting above -20C and cold winds, I could see he wasn't walking around as much.
