Re: Need advice on blood testing rechecks/protocol
Thanks, Sherry. By “a bit early” I was saying that I understood there was a seasonal effect that started to show in August & these labs were taken in late July. I didn’t realize the timing

Re: Breakfast Hay Analysis - please confirm if this one is safe to eat dry
Hi, Jennifer. The ESC + Starch are moderate in this hay, as Sherry noted. But I want to make a pitch for looking at the whole analysis of any hay. In this case, the moisture content is alarmingly high

Re: Breakfast Hay Analysis - please confirm if this one is safe to eat dry
Thank you!! We plan to keep soaking the hay for all of his meals for now. Just on the cold days in the middle of winter, I wanted the option to feed dry in the morning. I will keep an eye on him

Hi Kandace,
Ideally the pictures should be labeled and include the canon bones in the side views. Full directions on how to do that can be found here:

Re: Breakfast Hay Analysis - please confirm if this one is safe to eat dry
Hi Jennifer,
At a glance that should be ok for him but as always you'll have to keep an eye on him and if you notice any changes you might need to reconsider how it's being served.
Thanks,
Sherry

Hi Deb!
You are correct - the 5mg pergolide mesylate that Scotty is getting is equal to 3.83mg pergolide itself (ie - 3.83 tabs Prascend). Prascend uses 1.305mg of pergolide mesylate to make their

Breakfast Hay Analysis - please confirm if this one is safe to eat dry
Hay analysis. I’m trying to find safe hay that Fergus can eat a breakfast dry in the winter. Right now, he’s getting it soaked. I think this one is safe but hoping someone can double check.

Re: Lavinia mark up requested on sole pictures please
Hi Kirsten
Thank you for reaching out. Can you send me a link to the 4 week trim I keep hearing about? That might help me.
The vet trip tomorrow is for ultrasound to see if Chicy's baby is alive.

Thank you. I see what is happening to your horse. That one picture looks extreme. Looks more like something in a lab rather than on a live horse.
I have been thinking I just need to back up toe

Sherry posted a link and I agree. First, you don’t want added iron in anything. We are trying to reduce iron intake. Some of the other components might be useful if you needed them. You won’t
