It is also a situation in these high-maintenance animals with chronic diseases, most of us are already swamped with increased vet bills, increased farrier visits and trying to find the right feed

I agree with all of you, but you have to go with what you have. The
first time I had requested a prescription was when I had just started
Hank on cypro - at that time the pills were only about $33

I agree especially when an animal has a chronic illness which involves
long-term medication costs. In these instances the vets in my area are more
than willing to call in the Rx for the cheapest

I'm sorry but I think that attitude purely reeks. Physicians write prescriptions, most of them wouldn't dream of dispensing drugs. I know vets make a lot less money for a lot more work, but I do not

Grazing Muzzle
I have found the grazing muzzles from KC2 Equine Supply to be- quite
literally- lifesavers. They have one with a breakaway halter all in
one unit with the muzzle. Last year the horse size ones cost

Only problem with the break-away grazing muzzles, if the horse is on pasture and the grazing muzzle breaks away and you don't notice the horse will be eating lots of that nice grass you could be
