Re: Monster - 5-year-old Morab gelding
From Sherry's post : To figure out if you need to feed him 2% of his ideal weight or 1.5% of his current weight (whichever is greater)"
Not 2% of his current weight …
It's a lot to read …

Thank you, I'll get one ordered today. So just to be sure I can give her up to 45G a day? I will try twice a day.
Thank you again.

Re: Beet Pulp Boycott
I give him his pergolide by simply sticking in his mouth. I am using beet pulp (rinsed and soaked) to supplement his daily forage. We give him 2 leaves of unsoaked hay plus the beet pulp.

Re: Fecal Water Syndrome - Question about Psyllium Husk Supplementation
While my experience was not severe with my gelding with FFW I was able to turn it around pretty quickly. He has always had some issues with his gut (I adopted him at 5 weeks he was taken from his mom

Thank you, Dr. Kellon. The vet will be notified.
I have just spoken with Aurelio at Ontario Dehy. I asked whether it was possible that a whole batch might have been exposed to contamination, as I did

You can double or even triple the dose and give twice daily. I would look into getting a Neoprene knee wrap for her.

Thanks Sherry
I’ve never heard of that, is it a topical? Poor old girl can barely walk, I just don’t know what else we can do for her. Breaks my heart 😔

Re: Dr. Kellon / what’s the max of DC I can give?
Hi Bobbie,
If you can get your hands on some Dicoflenic even if it's the people version it might offer her some relief. I've had mixed results using it on myself as well as on the horses

Re: Dead animal in feed bag
Definitely a risk. The average incubation period in humans is a few hours to 3 days. You should at least let your vet know what happened. I don't know what the availability of antitoxin is in Canada

The lidocaine patch might help but you could find you don't need it.
