Dry it does nothing except trap any fluids that are released. When wet it at least softens tissues. Personal preference is for Numotizine.

Adding jiaogulan may help clear it faster if it is an abscess. It will increase circulation to her hooves and that can get abscesses mobilizing faster. It's also helpful for winter laminitis pain

Ann - thanks for mentioning the powders! I should have listed that as an option as well. I went that route first but the boy absolutely would not touch the Spiralina powder or N-Acetely-L-Cysteine

We give our pony Jiaogulan and Spiralina to help with her heaves and have seen good results. On top of everything else, we had a bad fire season out here in the fall she made it through
