Digest # 1667 Sherry states that "PPID can have an effect on connective tissue" Can this be explored further? Phoenix was diagnosed by clinical exam to have DSLD. This was later confirmed by another

I don't recommend copra because of the high fat, high ESC + starch, unbalanced mineral profile and poor amino acid profile. The Total might be worth trying for allergies but nothing in your horse. You

Re: Charting progress can be graphic...
Hi Joy,
That chart is awesome. What a great illustration for people (ahem, vets) resistant to increasing the pergolide dosage. I'm so happy for you and her that you've been able to get her ACTH

Ideally, check titers for Rabies. Tetanus titers usually are protective for at least 3 years but immunity may wane in older horses. Encephalitis, including WNV yearly or you can follow the state

Questions about recommended products
My vet asked that I work with a nutritionist to adjust Mouse and Ryn's feeding protocols. It has been recommended that they are either on grass or free choice hay (10-12% NSC) 3 cups of Cool Stance,

I would wait until the end of December or even January to retest him although if he was normal in October he likely will be then too. Consider doing a TRH stimulation instead and decide on pergolide

Amazing Joy, I can see the difference in her from when you brought her home. She’s beautiful and looks like she’s comfortable and content.
Great job. And a great idea👍

Emmy, thank you a million times for that chart. I don't think we can overstate how much a chart like that, with data points, can really help those of us with resistant vets see what the real results

Just wanted to share something good that I hope will encourage others on this forum.
I made a graph of our pergolide use and ACTH tests since Emmy and I started our journey with this group 4 years

Re: Tater Bloodwork / Other Updates
Hi Emma,
Please read the exercise portion of your welcome letter. If Tater was laminitic a month ago it's a bit early for forced exercise, even if he is doing well in turnout. Re: New member -
