Re: whey protein isolate?
Hi Jess,
I bought this for my horses, seemed the best protein levels & quality / price I could find. I calculated their dose from the NRC diet calc balancing so can't comment on that

whey protein isolate?
Hi there,
A PPID volunteer has kindly suggested whey protein isolate, as my boy's protein levels seem to be on the low end of normal (blood results in my photo album) and he is underweight/struggling

Re: Trim Evaluation for Luke please
Thank you. When I have your markups i can get him trimmed... do you have a timeframe so I can schedule my farrier? For now I have him wearing the boots in his stall/padlock just getting used to

Re: Trim Evaluation for Luke please
Karen,
If the boots fit well now, as soon as you bring Luke's toes back they will be too large. It makes for a conundrum. You might want to consider waiting until after he has his trim done to fit

Re: Trim Evaluation for Luke please
Thank you Lavinia,
i want to have my farrier shorten the toes as you and the vet said; do you know a timeframe you can do the markup photos as I'd like them as a guide...? I know how busy you are.

Re: New Hoof Radiograph
Hi Stephanie,
Here's some info on RLP in the files:
https://ecir.groups.io/g/main/files/Regional%20Limb%20Perfusion
It can be done in the barn.
All of that excess hoof needs to come off asap

Hi Becky,
You're doing a great job - much better than what the farrier was doing so pat yourself on the back, take a deep breath and savor that for a few moments. The proof is in April's demeanor -

Hi,

Hi Lavinia and Dr. K,
Lavinia - no, he was not standing completely horizontal/squarely to the ground. He does not want to put his foot completely horizontal on the ground, and I'm not sure if it is

Re: Need Help with IR/Cushings Pony
Hi Sherry,
Those were some good changes. LF toe needs to com back a touch more, RF more. RF has the hoof capsule twisting toward the inside from push of the lateral heel being run further forward

Re: New Hoof Radiograph
Hi Stephanie,
There is a lot of excess foot here - both toe and hoof length in general. The vertical measurement line shows roughly where the hoof wall should be and everything to the left of that
