Re: Dutch not eating anything appropriate for him
Thanks for this information. I can get the LMF products easily. I think I'll try that with a sample of Cocosoya as as addition if he likes it. I'm thinking if I can get the minerals to stick to

Hi Kathy, I'm waiting for the analysis results for the hay I'm currently feeding. The BO has new hay that is outside because it wouldn't fit in her barn. She's trying to use it up before it rains here

Re: Dutch not eating anything appropriate for him
Rebecca,
Are you currently feeding the hay you are planning on testing? or, the Rye Hay from the CH?
Sorry, I am a bit confused on which hay you are soaking and feeding.

Re: New farrier have appt.
Can you get soy hull pellets? Or Stabul 1? Sorry, can't remember right now if you've tried those with Jasper before or not and I'm on my way out the door.

He isn't eating the carrier. I've tried mixing the beet pulp with the pelleted Equine Lite, each one alone, Timothy Balance cubes mixed in and alone. I tried small amounts of Safe Choice Senior feed

Hi Rebecca,
One of the Members mentioned LMG Low NSC Complete as a possible carrier. In post # 194181 Jaini points out this is a "safe" feed. Low NSC Complete - LMF Feeds

Re: Dutch not eating anything appropriate for him
You are so right! If I just had my own farm it would be so easy. I guess weighing the hay before soaking is the correct approach. I would then need to dry it and then put it in a hay net or something

That sounds like a great idea. I've looked at length and can't find a feed mill near me. The closest is Elk Grove Milling which makes its own feed, all of which won't work for him. Is there any

Interesting that you added Epsom salts. I don't remember seeing that before. I tried spraying just with the 20% or whatever vinegar this spring that I got from Amazon and it didn't do much. The
