My guy HeathBar is doing so much better with his Natural Balance shoes; however, his respiration is heavy due to his Cushings's symptoms.
Anyone have any thoughts or known medications/treatments

I'm now back to taking care of Pabatsa, I had a fall and broke 2 ribs--pretty much recovered now. :)
Anyway, do you believe his numbers are ok enough to just leave him at 3.5 mgs?

Can you use the ice wraps while he's down? I found several at Walgreens with the gel inserts, with Velcro closures. They wrap around hoof, and up to the pasterns. super convenient and easy.

Hi
If steroid are going to cause a laminatic episode, how long after steroids are given would it effect him?? I'll try icing his feet when he gets up. Don't think 4 hours in the trailer helped him

Good that you're back home. Not ideal but you had tried all other options and he had to breathe. Emergency situations call for emergency tactics.
If you can, try icing his feet a few times.

Corrine,
I am in awe of what you are doing for Jasper, and know how difficult it is to know what the right thing to do is in an emergency--and you've had your fair share of those.
Just wanted you to
