Lorna,
Probably one of those things I did and forgot about. Clueless at the moment! I'll look around.

Re: Figuring out Magnesium Oxide 58% dosing
Heather,
If you have to give 3 grams (elemental mineral amount) and your product (MgO) is 58% pure, the 3/0.58 = 5 grams (weight) of product (MgO). Totally up to you if you split it or give it all at

LJ,
I thought this was your horse based on your posts. This could be a very "slippery slope". Do you have an agreement with the owner regarding changing the horse's diet and veterinary

Re: Hyaluronic Acid Source
Eva,
Thank you SO much for all the message links, I didn't think to look on ECHorsekeeping! Also for that translation; I was guessing that was it, but unsure.
I don't feed beet pulp (not a hit here),

Re: Figuring out Magnesium Oxide 58% dosing
Hi Heather,
You're almost there. 1 gram of 58% MgO does = 580 mg of elemental magnesium. The trick is not to confuse product weight (measured in grams) with the elemental mineral amount that you dose

No extra iodine needed if feeding mostly the Timothy Balance cubes.
Vitamin E and/ or flax is still recommended.

ODTB cubes -- totally balanced?
I have a general question about the ODTB cubes. My two IRs (both currently stable w insulin in low 20's, in good condition, and exercising daily) happily live outside 24/7 in a drylot and by a stroke
