Just want to add that when I saw Jesse a few months ago- he presented with a hard crest and fat pads in the usual places. Ribs were easily felt.

I would not put this horse on pasture. And I would want to make sure his ACTH is within normal range. It may come down to that as we go into summer, but will need careful monitoring as you approach

Over the years,we have found lab normals to be too high . Lots to read about this in the Archives,and in our Files.

I plugged in Jesse's numbers, thinking he was not IR, but this shows severe IR. Can someone re-check this?

My horse does best on 7 ml. He’s about 1400 pounds, and he’s in work. I up it when he’s feeling blah. He’s gone as high as 9. I would just experiment.

There are a lot of issues to sort through here and I hope you can get a formal history up soon because that will help.
In the meantime, at her age I would always be suspicious of a potential component

I heard from Dr Kellon yesterday and she suggested the ALCAR and Jiaogulan which I ordered last night. I ordered the APF previously and am waiting for that to arrive.
