Perfect! Thank you so much for the quick reply! He is on a grain hunger strike right now and won't eat anything but senior feed so I just wanted to make sure that it was OK to give to him!

Hi Gina,
Great news about the new vet :)
IR horses do not need fat in excess of 4%, which is the same amount found in grass. Excess fat induces IR so is on the list of things to avoid. Ground flax

Mikados latest bloodwork came back today, the sample was taken on tuesday. ACTH 22.3 normal <49, insulin 2.9 normal <23, glucose 4,1 normal <5.

I just got the Cornell ACTH results back and I'm desperate to know if I should start pergolide. I can no longer control my mare's insulin levels with diet & exercise alone. I am working on her
