Just wanted to agree that IR test results can be misleading. When I did a comparison, the NIR result was ~9% and the wet lab was 10.3%. For some IR horses, that is not safe, especially mine... Paula

Eqi-Analytical still offers the free test with the purchase of the corer from them BUT the test is the Equi-tech analysis, which is the less expensive NIR testing rather than the wet chem analysis

Perhaps you could get the boarding facility to set aside some hay (once tested and you know it's safe), so that you don't have to test as often and adjust supplements as often. Chanda MT 9/04

Well, I bought my hay core sampler a few years back from EquiAnalytical. They gave you one free analysis along with it at that time. Of course, things may have changed by now... Ferne Fedeli No.
