Re: Source for tested hay in New Jersey?
Bumping this up to ask if anyone in NJ has had any hay luck this summer? The local hay farmers and dealers I'm working with are all very helpful but I have only found one who has an analysis available

(Very) long story short, less than 10% NSC would be appropriate although some horses may still need it soaked. Wet chemistry is what we want. Sounds like you have a very good option here. Forget

Re: Source for small bales of hay in south central area of Wisconsin
Hi Heather,
Thanks so much for info. Don't have a way to feed round bales but even some "quite small" bales would be okay as long as straight grass. Richfield is only about 1 hour away and our horse

Re: Insulin under control, but now significant remodeling of the spine
I would be very surprised if PRP made any difference when you have extensive remodeling. A conservative approach would be liberal application of Sore No More at least twice a day.

Re: JIAOGULAN POWDER
There isn't any problem buying Jiaogulan from madbarn.com is there? Haven't seen anyone mention it as a source. I bought mine there. Cost is $40 for 1 kg which is 2.2 lbs and price includes free

She did not think surgery would be a good option and I don’t think I’d want to put Ava through it.

I bought Jiaogulan from My Best Horse - you could try them. Their supplements are excellent quality, and they’re very helpful and friendly, too.

Re: JIAOGULAN POWDER
Try mybesthorse.com or herbalcom.com. However, Jiaogulan won't grown sole per se. It will grow hoof in general but the trim has to be correct.

Re: BOT flies - deworm again?
I don't know about ethanol but hot soapy water will make them hatch. Bots won't show up on a fecal egg count. Fecals are also unreliable for tapeworms.

Mouse's case history has disappeared. Is he on Metformin at this point? It's possible the right front issue could be an abscess or it could be the lack of sole on that foot. Current
