Glucose 5.5 norm 3.5-5.5

I forgot some info. The Appy does not eat hay and ODTB cubes are his main forage am and pm. He is out in pasture during the daytime... (Not IR or PPID)

I also use warm to hot water to moisten the cubes as they absorb it much faster than cold water. I also feed in those big black feeder dishes--about 18" wide and 4 or 5 inches high. Our Appy does

Horses have a hard time getting anything mushy and packed down out of a bucket. I use wide shallow plastic feed pans so they can push the feed around and lick or pick it up.

I use about a cup of very warm water to about 2 cups of ODTB's and they absorb all the water and sort of crumble into a moist, fluffy mass. I find that warm water makes them break down

I agree that is what she had. I called it stress diarrhoea (like IBS) and she used to sweat up too like she's all soaped up in the shower in a trailer. I got her loading up nicely at

You are correct about the ACTH driving insulin. The vet has it backwards.
The hay is technically OK at 9.9 Esc + Starch but some horses would need that soaked. The problem may be that the
