Re: shaking from cold
Hi Lori,
I'm trying to remember the details for your boy.
Can you add his case history link to your signature so it's easy to find?

Has anyone gone out to find their horse shaking so badly that they're about to lose their knees and fall down in 40 degree weather? This happened to Majik. Is this related to laminitis, IR or

Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences with Easy Care RX boots
which I'm considering for Majik. We just keep plugging along trying to get

I used the easycare Rx on my Buttercup. She did really well in them. The down side was that they didn't last as long as I would have liked. I was able to duct tape them up and get a little longer

Here also is another source of hoof pads/foam in different densities that can be cut to fit the foot or boot. I tend to like these and use them. Not very expensive

Here are two sources for hoof pads with different densities; cut them to fit.
Many types; Kelly will help you choose. http://www.happyhoofpads.com/
These also work great in SoftRides and you don't

Re: Easy Care Rx Boots
Hi Lori,
I used the Rx's for my QH gelding George and they worked out really well. The Soft Rides never fit him properly.
You can try different types of pads to see what will work the best for you

Welcome to the group! The moderators will respond with all the info you need to get started, but an immediate step you can take is to soak, rinse, and drain his hay. Lots of us hang ours up in

My pony has been in Soft Rides pretty much 24/7 for about a year. She loves them! They've held up really well and no problem with rubs. Also very easy on and off. They are heavy, but she doesn't
