Ok so it would probably be better to find a different hay? Someone had also mentioned I could add soya hulls to his diet. would this help the problem also?

The hay has the same protein level of 4.9% (very low); NDF and ADF are quite a lot lower than the first sample, though, so it may be more palatable, and the digestible energy is a tad

Check MyBestHorse. The biotin is about $28 a pound, and the amount is slightly more than 1/4 teaspoon for the 20mg/day typical dose.
You can also get methionine there.

Sunshine has been getting Biotin 500 which contains 500gr of Biotin and 50gr of DL-Methionine. I have cut him back to 1/2 dose. It is pretty pricey and I am wondering if anyone uses a different

We recommend insulin, glucose and leptin be tested for a more complete picture. The bloodwork must go to Cornell as they are the only lab capable of doing the leptin testing. See

I have an appointment for a vet to come and draw blood from Tar for the Insulin and Glucose tests to recheck for IR(last test seemed like blood was mishandled so this is a vet who has done it
