Ferne,
I think the secret is that it is run through their clinical pathology lab, not the endocrine lab, so it is probably listed under the clin path tests. I think it only costs eight bucks or so

Hi Katie,
I would wait until after the trim to measure and order the correct size of whichever boot you decide to use. There is no way to predict what size that will be - if correct trim is done, it

Re: Balanced Hooves?
Ok good to know that either soft rides or easy boots would be ok but if I wanted to go with soft rides would I want to order them ahead of the trim or after?
The only concern I have with doing it

Glucose Pricing/Cornell?
I always print out the prices, etc. from the Cornell website for my
vet when he comes, so he knows exactly what I want (and I have a clue
as to how much it will cost!). He is coming next week to do

Re: Balanced Hooves?
Easy Boot makes a rehab boot that I have no experience with, but I know others here have used them with success.
Assuming he is not familiar with the term - realigning trim - I would not be surprised

Good point! I'll at least get in touch with him and have a discussion. Also, he is an easy boot dealer and I've noticed soft rides seem to be pretty popular on the board. Would easy boots be ok

Re: Riley - New Diagnosis Sort Of
Hi Indi,
I know this has been very frustrating for you. Having Riley so far away and counting on others to do what is needed can make you want to scream. Try some wine and dark chocolate for you

There is no reason why you can talk with this farrier. He may or may not be open to what you have to say, but he also may be open to learning a bit more.
You could tell him that he was suggested but

Shoot, that's what I thought but wanted to check. This is the work of a farrier the vet recommended that I'm trying to research before giving him a call. I really want to find someone fairly local

Hi Sally,
As long as you have an understanding with your vet that allows you to use the vet's account with Cornell it will work. Cornell doesn't know/care whose cc is on the account, just that they

Jessica,
I started a separate thread about this yesterday. I cannot remember what I entitled it, but I think I put 'O, happy day!' somewhere in the title.
I also posted the phone number, but I think

You should be able to do the actual work yourself, but you would need the vet to set up an account with Cornell, if he does not already have one--then you would use his account number to

When you say you do the rest - can you elaborate on that? Do you then freeze the sample yourself? Do you supply the insulated packaging and frozen packs? If so where do you get it? I assume you
