Great Diane.
And can you add your link to Zappa's case history to your signature?
Next time yo post a message of substance, don't bother posting just for that.
I hope it makes sense .

Re: Results hay test
If you look at the hay reports, hay #1 is actually 9.9 percent simple sugar.

Marrianne,
Oh darn! Sorry for my ignorance with regards to the terminology. I guess it's back to soaking again, or finding another source. I'm sure the hay guru's here will have a better commentary

Re: Safely add fat? beet soaking
How long ahead could you safely soak the beet and leave it in the fridge?
Just curious as ours is soaked daily but its always worth knowing.

Re: Advice Needed - Cushings pony was acting weirdly
My first thought would be (minor) neurological damage ( CVA, TIA).. have you consulted with your vet?
Flies seem unlikely this time of the year..

Advice Needed - Cushings pony was acting weirdly
May's history - Rising 16, with chronic lammi, IR & cushings. On pergolide, turned out during day and in at night. I clipped her few weeks ago. Previously she was doing weird laying down behaviour,

Duke's x-rays and new pictures
We're back! The vet and blacksmith came at the same time and Duke was trimmed as the vet took pictures. The x-rays and "new" feet are posted: See the end of his album on ECHoof, dates March 20

Re: Questions about the emergency diet......and details
Hi Diane,
The cortisol rhythm test, which it appears is what was used to diagnose Zappa with PPID, is not a valid test for Cushings. The ACTH and dexamethasone suppression (which we DO NOT advocate)
