Soak in 20% Peroxide for Abscesses
I hope this helps someone's horse like it helped mine. When Sammy, my
19 year-old Arabian was abscessing and couldn't walk without pain, I
was given advice to soak her hooves in straight 20% Peroxide

I also wish the hay gurus would respond - but it has been my experience
with eastern OR hay it has more to do with when it was cut. Because
the extremely cold nights there were only a few windows
