Re: Odd Feeding/Management question.
You could take along the amount you'd feed in BP or TCSS at dinner.
Use that as a snack mid-ride, then just hay for dinner after the ride.
Depends if you're trying to whittle the girth down or

Re: How long after starting Pergolide does shedding begin?
Equine Senior is too high in sugar & starch, I believe. Also, your grass hay may be, too. You should soak it till you can have it tested to see what the sugar & starch in it are.
Vets often aren't

I've heard that hay harvested before dawn is lower in NSC, so I think night will be your best bet.

Where to find Pergolide in Canada?
My horse is currently on the 0.5 mg Pergolide capsules purchased form
my vet. Unfortunately, they charge $1.40 per capsule. I am in Canada
and would like to find a cheaper place to purchase them.

What is considered "exercise"? Daily turnout? riding an hour a day?
an hour a week? walking? trotting/cantering? What is the minimum? What
should we be striving for to be considered enough exercise?

Re: questions & iron overload
Joan & Erin thanks for the imput. I'm trying to decide on what to do
with this mare?
I know for a fact that my water has too much iron, calcium, lime and
rust in it just from looking at the toilet

ACTH test
Ok, so I got my test back and the only thing on it is the ACTH:
Value 28
Ref Range 9-35 pg/ml
What does that mean? I was at work the day the vet called and I have

Lollipop Won't eat ANYTHING Added to his Grain
Lollipop (10 hand shetland pony) was quite sick a few weeks ago and
finally seems to be back on track. I am trying to figure out how to
