Confused about Devil's Claw
No, no Deb. 1000 mg. = 1 gram. Therefore if 1/3 teaspoons = 1000 mg. (1 gram) it would take 1/3 teas. x 10 to equal 10 grams. That would be 3 Tablespoons + 1 teaspoon to get to 10 grams. (3 teaspoons

Feet as hard as rocks....literally
Sometimes farrier's tools become a bit dull, as I have experienced, and he complained about rock hard feet. But brand new nippers worked wonders. Perhaps you could purchase the highest quality nippers

Siting in the barn watching Scotty shifting, shifting, shifting and wondering if it is now time to end his life. Such an old boy, he has been privileged to have you as his carekeeper. I am not an advo

Unusual winter coat
I'm familiar with these winter coat circular raised patches. I call them winter dapples. They do seem to occur in horses that dapple out in their summer coats.

Feeding cubes or pellets
As a complete feed? I don't think pellets have enough, or any, long stem forage which needed for gut health. I wonder what percentage of hay in the diet is minimumally required

Pain relief for Chicy - 2nd Request
I wonder if you could use P.E.A. (palmitoylethanolamide) for arthritic pain relief on your pregnant mare. Exercise too provides relief.

New Case History - looking for advice
I will be boarding an PPID horse this winter, He is not IR. The owner had been using a 60 cc syringe to administer Prascend. Is the 10 cc syringe easier to use? What other sizes would be appropriate?

Chicy (in foal) out of stall first time in 5 weeks
Just wondering if the shavings could be causing the hives. Did you add a new bag? pine, cedar or, god forbid, anything with black walnut?

Any updates on those using PEA?
I'm still using PEA ultrmocronized, about 2500 mg once a day along with devil's claw extract. It may work better in combination with herbals. Most human versions seem to contain some sort of herb. I h
