My 4 geldings do well on Coolstance. I use it as a carrier for supplements, about 1lb. per meal twice a day. My skinny gets 4 lbs per day. The medium chain fats are better than corn or soy oil. Carol

I might add that if the discomfort IS from an abscess, cold soaking will delay the draining. You want to promote blood flow and whatever movement the horse wants to do, not forced movement. Warm soaks
