New to list - I'm also new to list
Hi, I'm also new to the list. Let one of my guys (Icelandic) get overweight and this last week likely has mild founder. Seems maybe our winter rye grass we let him have in the front yard was too rich?

Is reaction to fructan type grasses with laminitis a form of "carb overload"? Or are they referring to grains or something else? Could a hoof in an IR horse be pre-disposed to a laminitic reaction bei

Blaze update
I'm new, but also sorting through stuff trying to find what will work for us to get as near perfect as possible on the "plan" as fast as possible. Obviously best will be balancing minerals / supplemen

Thanks for such a great response. Learning a lot. It is especially confusing when I read conflicting research. I'm giving Google a work-out with keyword searches, but seems some terms are out dated. E

Thanks for your thoughtful response, Dr. Kellon. < North American hays as a rule don't get even remotely close to the level of fructan it takes to produce laminitis, and that's comparing a total daily

Thankfully caught my guy's ouchy feet quickly and he is back to looking 95% normal. I still think a touch of stiffness, but he voluntarily went running yesterday. Will be soaking hay indefinitely and

Remission product
I have used it for my guys since summer 2010. I made a short video showing what it looks like, which maybe will benefit some before they decide to buy or not. I like to see what something looks like.
