Giving Invokana
I just got the blood results. Triglycerides are 1.97 mmol/L (reference range 0.09-0.58). Is this very elevated?

Does it matter if it’s given at the same time as Prascend? Is there any contraindication to crushing it and giving it in a syringe?

What is the best way to give Invokana? Can it be crushed and given in a syringe? Is it caustic like Metformin/ does milk of magnesia have to be used as a carrier?

IR and n/p1 mare
Just out of curiosity, I thought a horse with PSSM1 couldn’t also be IR? Or are there rare cases where a horse has both?

Also, how long does everyone soak their hay for? I've been soaking it for an hour, but my vet suggested I could try soaking it longer. Would I be able to soak it overnight (~11hrs) for the morning fee

Thanks Dr. Kellon! I'll mention the ertugliflozin to my vet and see if he's able to prescribe it/ figure out what the cost would be. It seems to be in the same drug class as Invokana? Is it just a sli

We just rechecked the insulin on my pony, and it came back at 1200 pmol/L (normal is 28-390). She's been on metformin since the beginning of the year, and while it did work to bring her insulin levels
