LEPTIN TESTING
janehewitt57
I've forwarded the case study and Cornell pricing info onto my vet. He was not aware of the new "Leptin" test at Cornell. He thanked me for the information. I will be testing Lad's glucose, insulin and leptin levels next month and will let the group know how we make out.
This is my understanding of how the leptin testing can help us: It removes the potential for false low glucose Leptin elevation correlates with insulin level If insulin is in the normal range; leptin will likely still be elevated which is a good way to determine if Lad is still IR. Helps control appetite and energy. Please correct me if I'm wrong with the following statements. Thank you, Dr. Kellon Jane Hewitt in North Reading, MA Sept 2005 http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/ECHistory/files/Lad_Jane.doc/RevLad_Jane-4.3.doc |

but that is 101 pgs. I was hoping for something simpler that I could send to my vet in the mail since that is his preference. sky oregon 2009 --- In EquineCushings@..., "Lorna" <briars@...> wrote:
