When getting our hay tests done by equi-analytical, I have always used the 601. Is the 603 wet chemistry? Since this is what Dr. Kellon recommends, just want to be sure I get the correct one.

Are you able to get to my history folder? I posted both in there. Basically, everything was lower with the #601 test except moisture%, dry matter%, CP, estimated Lysine, ADF, Zinc, copper and Molybdenum for me. The #601 test includes crude fat and ash that the 603 test doesn't even show. I have the numbers from Equi_analytical for test #603 and will post it in my history file. Can someone please help me figure out what I need to balance Nowee's diet? There is a definite difference between what #601 test shows compared to what #603 test shows. Glad I called an had the #603 test ran.

This is my first time testing using Equi-analytical and I hope to finally get her diet and supplements balanced better! I've added a link to my history. I don't really know when I joined this list but Nowee was experiencing lameness in June 2010 but didn't get blood tested until until May of 2011. I filled out and uploaded her history in June 2011. I just got my results back from Dairy One and because of the purchase of the probe, they gave me a complimentary #601. I had a call into them to see if I could make that a credit towards #603 but I never recv'd a response back and two days after that phone call, I just got my results in the email. Why the request for #603 instead of #601? What are the differences? Can my hay still be balanced with the #601 testing?
