This year our hay supply came from three different farmers. My question is, is it possible/advisable to combine the samples for one test and mineral balance or no?
If you are going to feed the hay combined then you can mix the samples and mineral balance to that. Otherwise, ideally you'd want to test each one and balance to each one as it is fed.
If you mix them, might want to consider adding the ESC + Starch numbers separately on each one just to make sure those are OK if IR is an issue.
