PQ should it be kept on hand if needed?
Hi Eleanor,
What are the upper dosing recommendations/limitations for PQ? For how long? I noticed Garlic is listed among the ingredients, but even at 6 scoops a day or 6 x 3100 mg = 18.6 grams (Corrine's question) it would appear that it is not an issue, is this correct? Kathy Brinkerhoff SE/WI 10/12 |

In fact, PQ was originally developed with chronic conditions in mind. If anyone wants to keep an herbal analgesic/bute alternative on hand, call Uckele and special order standardized Devil's Claw, 2.5% harpagosides. Start at 2500 mg once or twice daily; can double or even triple (short term) if needed. Eleanor in PA www.drkellon.com EC Co-owner Feb 2001 |

Is PQ used only for pain relief or could it also used as an anti-inflammatory maintenance supplement?

I ordered PQ to take the place of Cur-Ost composed mosly of Curcumin. Just curious if anyone has any info. I would hate to be giving my healthy horse a pain relief supplement if there is no pain. He has been rehabbing from a meniscus tear suffered more than a year ago. I was going to use the PQ for maintenance as I have been using the Cur-Ost. Maybe not a good idea. Thoughts anyone? Thank you, Robyn San Francisco April 2014
