can we remove boots if temperature is over 4 degrees but snow is not melted yet

Depends on why you are using the boots.

I'm assuming this is 4 degrees Celsius, which would be 39.2 degrees Fahrenheit. That's still in the danger zone for a horse prone to cold-induced foot pain. Plus, just standing in the snow could induce vasoconstriction. Waiting until temps rise above 50*F (10*C) and the snow melts is a safer situation.

because my mare has winter laminitis, she is now 25/7 out but keeping 24/7 her feet in the sock + boot... I want to let her some time for her skin to breath and rest

My guy had severe cold weather foot pain last winter with a minor laminitis episode.  He's been on Jiaogulan since then with EasyBoot Clouds and Whinny Warmers overnight only, all winter.  It seems now he's only sore on lumpy frozen ground, but he has very thin soles.  I feel we've made progress!
