Hi Ellen,

We will reimburse you for what you were charged in connection with sample handling, shipping, testing fees for the BET sample so just make sure the invoice has that breakdown.

Hi Dr. Kellon,

I sent an e-mail to you on Monday July 6 with the vet tech POC information.  I find that G-mail has an annoying habit of collapsing all responses in an e-mail string making it easy to miss additional replies.  I will try and find out what e-mails the vet tech sent.  Do I provide the veterinarian invoice? or the invoice they get from BET labs?  Exactly what type of information does it need to contain?

Thank you,

Ellen,

I answered you on 6/15, you replied and I answered you again. You didn't give me contact info for the vet's office until after the blood had been drawn - unless I'm missing something.

Ellen,

I have received no e-mails from your vet's office in my box or in spam. Also searched under the vet tech's name. If they can forward you copies of the mails they sent I'd like to see them.

We will reimburse you as detailed in our private e-mails earlier. Just send the invoice. Please send me an e-mail with the results and also enter them in your case history as usual.

Hi Dr. Kellon,

I have e-mailed you with no response in regards to the secondary insulin test to BET labs.  I provided your contact information to my veterinarian’s office and the vet tech received no response to two inquiries.  I gave her the information at least a week before the appointment but she didn’t let me know she received no response until she arrived with the veterinarian to draw the blood.  Maybe everything has landed in a spam folder? Crackers’ blood was drawn for Cornell this past Monday and I had them draw the insulin for BET labs as well and told them to proceed and I will pay for it.  Not sure what has happened with the ECIR offer.  I am a bit embarrassed by the whole thing because I talk up ECIR quite a bit (broken record) referring to ECIR information in regards to his treatment. They already look at me skeptically and now they have a reason too.  When the BET results come in, should I post them along with the Cornell results in the main forum as well as on Crackers’ case history?

Thank you.

CAN YOU PLEASE ADVISE so we won’t have major foot pain this winter?

Mariah was 134.77 uIU/mL acth was 38.7 pg/ml 9/16/19.  Mega foot pain starting 10/19 Until 3/20. Raised prascend .25 mg 3/20 and soaked hay during winter.
Insulin 4/21/20 99.52 acth 19.7 Prascend same.  Is that high enough?

Was planning to raise Prascend .25 again for the coming seasonal rise 6/30 and test July 17.  I was told from listers last winter you like minis low in the teens. Still correct?  She is getting 30 minutes of walking 5 days a week.
Anything else I should do so she doesn’t hurt this winter?  She was blanketed and booted all last winter too.
Ritzy’s Insulin numbers are high but not like Mariah’s. She will get same treatment except her ACTH was 60.7 insulin 105.74 9/16, and acth 63.8 insulin 79.52 4/21.
Ritzy is up to 3 mg Prascend and Mariah 1.25 mg now.  Planning on the increase of .25 for both 6/30. Is that ok?

I have tons of trouble updating my history’s.  Don’t know where saved files are. Will work on that.
Thanks,
Jan

Hi dr kellon

Sammys mom here mary odonnell
Saw the email you sent out about high insulin on invokana and those considering retesting to contact you?

Was wondering what this is about. As you know sammys insulin was still over 200 last blood draw sent to cornell i guess it was about 2 weeks ago. And as i told u despite this his presentation is so much better.

So wondering if u are finding some inconsistencies in testing or something.

Thank you
Mary

Hope is all is well. 😁

Hello Dr Kellon,
Samson has gotten high insulin results on his last two test run at Cornell.
Blood draw and handling done in the exact same manner as all his blood work for the past 10 years.
Diet has been balanced every year , this year by Dr Kat.
The absolute only change has been in the hay test results.  The past 2 years you may recall, the WSC, has been high. ESC + starch was will below 10 (I can pull the analysis, but my recollection was it was around 6.5.  Iron was below 100, everything else was great!

No changes in living conditions, exercise etc.

Would definitely be interested in retesting and also information on the new medication that seems to be getting good results.

I can have my wonderful vet contact you if you like.

I always remain in gratitude to you for all you have taught me.  Time for me to get registered for the advanced course!

Big hugs!

Warmest Regards,

Susie Cranney
