JoAnne Goblet

If I submit a hay analysis does someone in the group then let me know what I need to add to his diet in terms of
vitamins and minerals to balance it?
Thank you

Hi JoAnne,

For assistance with diet balancing you can contact any of the balancers listed on the Diet Balancing.pdf file here: https://ecir.groups.io/g/main/files/6%20Diet%20Balancing

Hi Renee!

I’m learning too. One thing I’d like to ask group is how to keep a thread of a personal, or other members, conversations that are helpful.

But first, how to see whole thread from digest email?

I have new cushings and ir dx and have a kitchen full of supplements and more. Lol. Love those ponies. They will have better nutrition than I do.

Good luck Renee.

Brenda, when you click on the link to the message in your digest email it should show you the whole thread, but if it's not then you can expand it by clicking on the hyperlink below a message that says "View All xx Messages in Topic".

To keep track of helpful posts you can make a note of the message ID (the number in the top right corner of each message next to the date), or copy the link to the message/thread from the URL box, or copy and paste the text of a message.  I usually paste into an email and then send it to myself with a suitable title so when I scroll through my email folder of ECIR notes I know what each email contains.   I'm sure there's better ways of keeping track, but I don't think any of them is in Groups.io unfortunately.

This thread is about hay analysis, so if your question is unrelated we prefer it if you start a new message by clicking on "New Topic" from the menu on the left.  That way if someone else has a similar question they will see yours more easily in a search.

How about if I copy the past few notes to a new thread - “How to Keep Track of Useful ECIR Information”?    I’ve been working as a volunteer here for most of a year and still trying to find the perfect solution.  It began with ‘oh, that is interesting. I’ll have to remember that’ but I outgrew that pretty rapidly.  A few note taking apps became a mess pretty quickly.  Now I am using a database, which I add to and sort out later.  Kirsten’s suggestion sounds good but I’m interested in learning whether others have found ways that work well for them.
