I'm looking into giving Vitamin A to Mill for eye support and for Jack when his hay is older ( per your hay supplementing article). 

Is it better to use a beta-carotene or retinyl palmitate/fish oil formula? The latter comes with birth defect warnings which obviously don't apply and dissuade long term use. The 25,000 IU dose given to a horse won't have the same effect as on a human, but the warning are a concern none the less.
