Camelina oil - iIs it safe for PPID/IR horses?

Hi Vicky,
I suppose it’s ‘safe’ in small amounts but I don’t know of any reason to feed it. It’s fatty acid omega 6:3 ratio is upside down compared to what is helpful for them. Flax oil gives the horse a supplement with a ratio closer to that of grass, the reason we recommend it. -- Martha in Vermont
