tufts and seasonal rise
A group member mentioned to me that Tufts recently published new data that shows that testing can be done anytime of the year without worry of seasonal rise. ?I cannot find the data. If anyone could post it that would be helpful

Hi LJ, Perhaps the person who told you that could provide their source so you can read exactly what they meant? Typically you can test any time of year as there's an adjustment made for the seasonal rise when test results are reported.

Hi LJ,
No sorry, YOU need to do the research. That could mean calling Tufts, checking the Google or asking the person who passed along the information for their source. Bringing something to this group as hearsay without back up is basically passing along gossip. -- Thanks, PA 2014 https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/files/Sherry%20and%20Scutch_Scarlet/Scutch%20Case%20History.pdf https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/album?id=78891 |

LJ,
The seasonal rise exists and has been well documented. It will influence both baseline ACTH and TRH response tests. We have a better feel for how baseline ACTH is influenced but there is also information on TRH response tests during the seasonal rise. I don't know exactly what you were told but it may have been that we can still interpret test results during the seasonal rise. If it was something else, they're wrong. -- Eleanor in PA www.drkellon.com |

Thanks for the response. I believe what you said is correct. I don’t think it was anything groundbreaking
