Rechecking bloodwork

I will be rechecking Scout’s ACTH, Insulin, Triglycerides first thing tomorrow morning. Every time I ask my vet if we should check glucose, he says no. With Scout now on invokana is it important to do? Thanks

We have never seen a problem with low glucose in horses on Invokana, although many were high before they started it. It would have been interesting to know if that was the case before he started it but at this point it's probably not an issue.

I just got triglycerides results back. 110mg/dL. That is down from 227 on June 13th. Yay!! The beet pulp and L-carnitine are helping. I had the vet run a glucose and it is 42. Is that number ok? Thanks

That 42 isn't a real result. The blood must have been mishandled. Great on the triglycerides though.
